ORCID
ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is an international directory of researchers. The purpose of the directory is to facilitate communication between research scientists and publishers, but can also be used for bibliometric analysis. You can see it as a personal number for researchers. ORCID has been created at the initiative of the universities, funders and publishers and is expected to be the prevailing standard for applications and publishing. Your research ID follows you through your career, even if you change university. The research ID is created at ORCIDs website. Please observe that your organisation may have a policy concerning registering ORCID via the organisation itself.
Note: ORCID is not mandatory in Prisma.
